MARSHALL H. ANDRESS, son of Joseph, was born ca. 1830. He was the proprietor of the Blairstown Grist Mill and lived in Marksboro. He died 19 Oct. 1894. He was buried in Marksboro Presbyterian Churchyard.
Marshall married Harriet Denike or TenEyck 19 Nov. 1851 in Hardyston, Sussex County, NJ. Harriet was born ca. 1838. She was buried in Marksboro Presbyterian Churchyard.
Marshall and Harriet Andress had the following children:
I. WILLIAM S. ANDRESS was born ca. 1853. He died 28 May 1854, and was buried in Marksboro Presbyterian Churchyard.
II. JOSEPH ANDRESS was born in Sept. 1862. He resided in Hope Township, Warren Co., and was the proprietor of the American House Hotel and the Union Hotel. He married Mary E. ca. 1883. She was born in Aug. 1862. Joseph and Mary had two children: (1) George Linford, born 03 May 1885, married Mary M.; (2) Cecilia, born in June 1883. Mary, Joseph’s wife, died in 1915. After her death and before 1920 Joseph married Abbie Christian. She was born ca. 1872; she died 03 March 1948 and was buried in the Moravian Cemetery in Hope. Joseph died in 1924 and was buried with his first wife, Mary, in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Jacksonburg, Warren County.
III. ALBERT G. ANDRESS was born ca. 1858. He married Eliza ca. 1882. She was born in England ca. 1863. They had the following children: (1) Marshall J., born ca. 1893; (2) Charles A., born ca. 1897.
IV. MARGARET ANDRESS was born ca. 1861. She died 11 May 1873, and she’s buried in Marksboro Presbyterian Churchyard.
V. ROSANNA N. ANDRESS was born 04 May 1863.
VI. ELIZABETH ANDRESS was born 17 March 1865. She married Hiram Linden Trauger ca. 1884. He was the son of Elias and Jude Ann Trauger, born 15 June 1861. He was a farmer of Walpack Twp., Sussex Co. He died 16 Oct. 1941. They had the following children: (1) Francis, born in Nov. 1884; (2) Flossie M., born in July 1886.
VIII. SARAH ANDRESS was born ca. 1866.
IX. CHARLES ANDRESS was born in Sept. 1874. He married Sarah Etta Coslar, ca. 1897. Charles and Sarah resided in Stroudsburg, PA. She was born in June of 1870 in Pennsylvania to William and Margaret Long Coslar. Sarah died 02 March 1941. She was buried in the Wesley Methodist Cemetery, of Middle Smithfield Twp., Monroe Co., PA. They had the following children: (1) Frances Laura, born 29 Jan. 1899, married William Ransberger; (2) Arthur Staples, born 02 Feb. 1900 and died six months later in October.
