William married Celesta Susan Siptroth 04 March 1904 at “The Little Church Around the Corner” in Greenwich Village, NYC. Celesta was the daughter of Oliver Siptroth and Anna Maria Butz of Jackson Township, Monroe Co., PA. Celesta was born 16 Jan. 1881. She died 25 Aug. 1955 in Stroudsburg and was buried in Stroudsburg Cemetery.
William and Celesta Andress had the following children:
I. LEILA MAY ANDRESS was born 04 May 1904 and died 27 April 1983 in East Stroudsburg. She was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery. (Descendants information pending permission)
II. DOROTHY BERYL ANDRESS was born 08 Sept. 1905. She married Forrest R. Snyder, ca. 1924. He was born 16 Nov. 1902 and he died 29 Dec. 1988. Dorothy died 14 May 1981. They were buried in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Stroudsburg. They had two children: (1) Alma J.; and (2) William J.
III. MARGARET IRENE ANDRESS born 22 Dec. 1907. She died in 1972. She married Elwood A. Batchler. He was born 07 July 1909 and died 24 September 1987. He was the son of Chester A. Batchler and Helen Bisbing. Margaret and Elwood are buried in Prospect Cemetery. They had one son, (1) Kenneth E.
IV. JOSEPH HAMPTON ANDRESS was born 04 March 1910 in Stroudsburg. On 14 May 1960 Joseph married Emma Elizabeth Rouch. They moved to Pensacola, Florida the same year. Joseph died 21 Dec. 1973. Elizabeth died 18 Feb. 2001. They are buried in Bay View Memorial Park, Pensacola. (Descendants information pending permission)
V. ELIZABETH FRANCES ANDRESS was born 29 Oct. 1912 and died 04 Aug. 1998. She married Ralph B. Scheirer. He was born 02 May 1911 and he died 14 June 1996. They are buried in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. They had three children: (1) Ralph Bruce, who died young; (2) Douglas; and (3) Jane.
VI. RICHARD WILLIAM ANDRESS was born 14 Oct. 1915 and died 15 April 1995. He married Dorothy B. Freer in 1946. She was born 22 Sept. 1913 and she died 14 Nov. 1993. They are buried in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. They had one daughter: (1) Dee Cynthia.
VII. MARY CAROLINE ANDRESS was born 10 March 1918. She married Lawrence A. Hilliard, 19 Dec. 1938. He was born 13 June 1918 and he died 30 Dec. 2002. Mary followed her husband, 28 Jan. 2003. They were buried in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. They had two children: (1) Barbara and (2) Shirley.
VIII. JOHN DAVID ANDRESS was born 17 May 1920. John married in 1940, Julia Maria Lombardi. She was born 05 Dec. 1920. They moved to Davidson County, Tennessee ca. 1980. Julia died 06 Dec. 1981. In 1982 John married Pauline. John died 10 Dec. 2003. He and Julia are buried in Springhill Cemetery, Nashville, TN. They had five children: (1) Celeste Louise; (2) Joanne Carole; (3) John David; (4) Donald Eugene; and (5) Cynthia Marie.
IX. ALBERT ROY ANDRESS married Eugenia Helen Safin. (Descendants information pending permission)

Mrs. Andress is also survived by her grandsons, Bill Andress, Joe Andress and his wife, Teresa, and Robert LaBadie Jr; and her great-granddaughters, Tina Strength and her husband, Jimmy, and Teresa Cox; great grandchildren, Dion Blackwell, Tashia Blackwell, Jeremy Cox and Chrissy Labadie. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel is in charge of arrangements. She was the beloved wife of Albert R. Andress, with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage on Sept. 18. Born on Oct. 15, 1925, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alice (Foley) Safin. She lived in the Stroudsburgs most of her life. A former resident of East Stroudsburg, she was very active with the Order of Diana TKE Fraternity at East Stroudsburg University. She was a caring mother; not only to her own three children, but also to all the fraternity boys who needed a meal, something mended, or just a kind ear. She was truly the epitome of "nurturing," always helping others. She was a member of the Altar Guild at Grace Lutheran Church, East Stroudsburg. After moving to Bucks County, she was on the church council of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Dublin. At the time of her passing, she was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Bedminster. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Alice Anne Andress-Babinetz, and her husband Joseph, of Doylestown, and their son James Alexander; William Scott Andress, and his wife Marilyn, of Nazareth, and their two daughters, Jessica and Angelina; and Kathy Sue Keiper, and her husband Timothy, of Pocono Summit, and their children, Tyler and Kayla; and one great granddaughter, Maria Jean Andress. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Safin. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg. The Rev. Robert Mittman will officiate. Burial will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home. He had worked in the pressroom and as a driver for Hughes Printing in East Stroudsburg. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the 28th Division. He was a member of the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Company, where he and his late wife used to work bingo. He also was active in the Monroe County Fire Police Association and was a member of the Four County Firemen's Association. He is survived by his children, Harry Andress Jr. of East Stroudsburg, Susan Messerle of Effort and Carolyn Smith of East Stroudsburg; five grandchildren; six great-granddaughters; two sisters, Sharon Fuller of Minisink Hills and Peggy Knowles of Saylorsburg; two brothers, Al Andress of Doylestown and John Andress of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
