OSCAR A. ANDRESS, son of Hampton, was born 27 Aug. 1838 in New Jersey. He died 27 Dec. 1903 in Sussex County, and was buried in Newton Cemetery, Newton, NJ.
Oscar married Edith Caroline Wintermute on 18 May 1876. Edith was born 01 May 1827 and she died 02 May 1897. She was buried in Newton Cemetery.
Oscar and Edith Andress had the following children:
I. ANNA CONDIT ANDRESS was born in March 1878. She married James Shields.
II. JOSEPH ANDRESS was born ca. 1879.
III. MARY ELIZABETH ANDRESS was born ca. 1880.
IV. GEORGE WINTERMUTE ANDRESS was born 12 April 1888. He died in Aug. 1977 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
